Posted By: Hija Chang on November 04, 2015 Hornet Homecoming is fast approaching, and it's your time, the "Classes of the 5s and the 0s," and the Silver Class of 1990 to come home and celebrate. The theme for this year is "Reunite to Renew Our Love for ASU." For more than 15 years, the traditional reunion of honored classes has become a celebrated occasion for returning alumni and has grown in attendance. The reunion is an opportunity to renew ties with classmates and friends. It also is a way for alumni to strengthen the ties that bind them to their alma mater while showing tangible support for O' Mother Dear. "This year's theme speaks to the purpose of reunions and to the importance of coming home and hitting that refresh button as we experience and see the progress of our alma mater," said Cromwell Handy, director of Alumni Relations. "Our love for ASU inspires our desire to give back in support of the University and the students through scholarship donations." This year, the Office of Alumni Relations will host its annual Alumni Scholarship Breakfast with special acknowledgement for the Classes of the 5s and 0s and the Silver Class of 1990, on Friday, Nov. 20 in the J. Garrick Hardy Center Ballroom at 10 a.m. Each '5s and 0s' class anniversary participant is asked to donate $100, which includes: -The Alumni Scholarship Brunch - includes T-Shirt and special gift; and - Admission to the Homecoming Football Game on the Stadium Party Terrace Level (with option to purchase two additional tickets at a discount) Each 'Silver Class' anniversary participant is asked to donate $250, which includes: -The Alumni Scholarship Brunch which includes the official Silver Class T-Shirt, Class Photo and two VIP Parking Passes; -Admission to the Homecoming Classic Cabaret; and -Admission to the Homecoming Football Game on the Stadium Party Terrace Level (with option to purchase two additional tickets at a discount) As in years past, alumni are encouraged to participate by attending these special homecoming reunions and by donating in support of your class and ASU! If you are unable to attend the reunion celebration, please consider making a generous donation to the University in support of your class. Your Homecoming keepsakes/gifts will be mailed to you. RSVP by November 12 by registering online at www.alasu.edu/hornethomecoming or by contacting the Office of Alumni Relations at 334-229-4280.
