In Spring 2012 Eddie released his solo debut album “I Still Have It” available on iTunes and Amazon, through his recording and publishing company Nayr Entertainment, LLC. He has released two singles, “Shit Starter” and “Did I Make You Go Ooh” from his new Cd “Did I Make You Go Ooh.” to be released early 2016. Eddie Levert Sr. is one of the founders and lead singers of the legendary R&B group, The O’Jays. With a career that spans over 50 years, Eddie Levert recorded several gold and platinum records like “Love Train”, “For The Love of Money”, “Used To Be My Girl”, and “Back Stabbers.” Throughout his career he received several awards for his vocal ability. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005, received the BET Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009, the Trumpet Lifetime Achievement Award and was awarded the Hero’s and Pacesetters Awardin 2011, just to name some of his most recent awards. Adding to his numerous achievements, he and his late son Gerald Levert co-wrote a few hit records on their CD titled “Father and Son.” They also wrote a book, “I Got Your Back” published in 2007. He currently tours with the O’Jays and Gladys Knight, as well as performing as a solo artist.
