Posted By: How May I Help You NC on December 09, 2015 Saint Martin’s University seeks an experienced academic administrator with high levels of initiative and adaptability to lead the administration of its graduate and professional programs. Reporting to the Dean of Enrollment and liaising closely with the Provost through a dotted-line report, this position will be responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of prospective graduate students and assisting with the development of new graduate and professional programs offered by Saint Martin’s University. Duties Provide leadership for and the coordination of a comprehensive graduate recruitment, marketing, and admissions program in a manner consistent with the University mission. o Develop and implement recruitment and yield strategies for graduate and professional programs. o Identify and generate prospects for programs; maintains year-to-year data on recruitment efforts and trends. o Communicate with prospective students and maintain all records pertaining to recruitments, admission, and enrollment in graduate and professional programs. o Schedule visits and meets with prospective students to campus. o Attend graduate fairs and admission events, and visit other institutions to promote programs. Conduct group presentations about graduate and professional programs to prospective students, pre-professional advisors, and others. o Represent the Office of Graduate and Professional Programs to higher education institutions, both domestically and globally. o Maintains recruitment and application software and client management systems such PowerCampus, TargetX, and Moodle. Chair meetings of the Graduate Council and the Council for Professional Programs. o Oversee the process for allocating Graduate Assistantships and liaises with the Graduate Council. o Assist faculty, Deans, and the Provost in the strategic development of new professional and graduate programs and in designing integrated undergraduate-to-graduate programs. o Coordinates with Colleges/School Deans s as they undertake/renew accreditations of graduate programs. Collaborate with the Dean of Enrollment, academic Deans, the Provost, the Graduate Council, and the Office of Marketing and Communication on strategies to increase the visibility of graduate and professional programs. o Provide input on communication plan and strategies. o Maintain the professional and graduate admissions websites. Supervise, train, evaluate and mentor administrative assistant for the graduate and professional programs office on graduate and professional program recruitment, marketing, and admission procedures. o The administrative assistant, direct and supervise the functions of Graduate Assistants assigned to the office. o Interviews, orients, and trains Graduate Teaching and Research Assistants. Ensure policies and procedures governing graduate and professional programs are updated and enforced; ensure compliance with University policies and requirements set by external oversight or reporting agencies. Represent graduate programs and issues on a range of university committees. Maintain relationships with SMU’s undergraduate constituencies, including the Admissions Office, international programs, academic advising, and Career Services. Facilitate communication with financial aid, student financial services, Registrar, alumni relations and student affairs. Manage and maintain fiscal oversight of the departmental budget. Perform other related duties as assigned.
