The announcement with selections comprised of votes from FCS sports information contacts and members of the national media was released on Monday. The list of players from the SWAC selected: Linebacker Kourtney Berry (Alabama State), running back Johnta’ Hebert (Prairie View A&M), and return specialist Willie Quinn (Southern). Hebert was named First Team All-American as an all-purpose player. He led the Panthers in rushing (725 / 5th SWAC), receptions (46/T-3rd SWAC), receiving yardage (563 / 5th SWAC) and all-purpose yardage (198.7 / He leads the SWAC / 2nd NCAA)...ranks second on the team and T-8th in SWAC with 8 total touchdowns. Berry earned a spot as a second team linebacker. He finished his junior campaign with 130 total tackles which at the time was the fifth most in all of FCS football. He averaged 11.8 stops per game which at the end of the regular season was also among the top-10 totals among all of the FCS players. Quinn was arguably the most electrifying skill position player in the SWAC with over 1,201 all-purpose yardage in 2015. He led Southern with 37 receptions for 455 yards and 2 receiving TDs. As a returner, he led the SWAC with four kick returns touchdowns. Against Mississippi Valley State this past September, Quinn scored on a kick return, a punt return, and pass for another score.
