Victoria Reese Speaks About Journey to Founding Victor Group

Victoria Reese Speaks About Journey to Founding Victor Group
Posted By: How May I Help You NC on January 19, 2016

Victoria Reese (B.A. ’09) speaks with Howard University about her journey to founding Victor Group, a multi-service branding agency that makes people and their brands fascinating. The company has championed major commercial and endorsement deals across the spectrum for high-profile clients and budding entrepreneurs.

HU: What brought you to Howard University?

Reese: As a kid, I always wanted to be a lawyer. My mother told me [about] how one of our cousins attended Howard for law school, and that it was the best school to attend if I wanted to be a successful lawyer. I always had Howard on my mind since about the age of 5.

Over the years, that was my plan and everyone knew the script “I’m going to Howard!”

HU: In which area did you earn your degree?

Reese: Legal Communication

HU: Describe your career path. What opportunities and decisions led to your current position?

Reese: I’ve been fortunate to have been employed at top agencies such as Universal McCann, William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, LLC, Walton Isaacson and MediaVest, garnering experience from industry giants in both New York City and Los Angeles. These jobs molded and shaped the creative strategist that I am today. Few have the attention to detail and the eye for opportunity that I’ve been able to garner through these companies. They taught me the ropes.
