Finding Peace During These Confusing Times

Finding Peace During These Confusing Times
Posted By: Janet Jackson on January 28, 2016

There is so much noise, conflicting messages, anger, and tension in the air, especially as election time nears. Screaming voices yelling untruths about one another, situations, and events seems to be the norm.

Everywhere you look; It appears everyone is spinning, stressing and trying to claw their way out this worldly turmoil.

It's like running from the Boogie Man in a horror film. The faster you run; it seems the monster is gaining on you.

There is only one way to find peace when the world seems to be caving in around you.

Go inside.

The most peaceful part of the hurricane is the eye. The eye is inside of the storm.

You have an inner eye too that sees and knows everything. Some call it inner wisdom. Others call it their Higher Self. It doesn't matter about the name. However, it does matter that you acknowledge this beautiful place of "knowing" that constantly guides you. Unfortunately, many turn to the Internet for answers instead of their own inner wisdom.

Inside of you is a place of peace, but you have to follow the inward yellow brick road to reach it.

It's not hard to find that road if you take the time to sit in silence, even for five minutes. By osmosis, you will gravitate to that place inside of you that Zen masters call home.

Just by being quiet and focusing on your breath for a few minutes will guide you to the path. Release your resistance and relax into the outward breath. Feel your body unwinding.

Deep within, no matter what is going on around you, is your breathing space, your private sanctuary. A reprieve from these confusing times. You can go there anytime and any place.

Inside you will find clarity.

Inside you will find that soft place to land on.

Inside you will find a still beautiful, mountain...your inner strength.

Inside you will find a protective shield from chaos.

Inside you will find your power-house.

Inside you will find happiness.

Inside, you will find peace.

Take the time out of your busy day, even if it's a few minutes to go inside, and find YOU.
