Students study abroad in Paris for Spring Break

Posted By: How May I Help You NC on March 28, 2016 Albany State University students were immersed in French culture this week as they traveled to Paris to study abroad. The trip, a joint effort between ASU Global Programs and Professor Matthew Stanley’s public history course, provided students the opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge of course topics. “In addition to conducting on-site research and examining public history sites, students visited historical sites unrelated to the French Revolution and experienced Paris as tourists,” Stanley said. “In leaving their comfort zones and partaking in education as representatives of Albany State and as global citizens, students broadened their personal and academic perspectives.” Photo: From left to right: Kaila Spears, Arymis Barnes, Mallory Ingram and ASU staff member LaQuata Sumter.
