LaShawne Holland, a leading expert in the art of activating wealth potential, will keynote Bennett College's Spring Commencement Exercises on Saturday, May 7 at 10 a.m. in the Quadrangle.

The Baccalaureate speaker for commencement week is Rev. Racquel C.N. Gill, pastor-in-resident at St. Paul Community Baptist Church in Brooklyn, New York. The Baccalaureate Service is Friday, May 6 at 6 p.m. in the Annie Merner Pfeiffer Chapel.

As one of the nation's leading experts on the art of activating wealth potential, Financial Architect, Entrepreneur and Chief Financial Officer, Holland is founder of The Wealthy Leaders Institute and Chairman of LaShawne Holland International® (dba Holland & Holland Enterprises, LLC), a financial development and wealth activation education company focusing on financial literacy education, money mindset mastery, economic elevation, and wealth empowerment.

She is author of Wealth Covenant for Couples, and founder of The Wealthy Women ROCK! Live Event and The Money Made Easy Masterclass Network.



She has been featured in more than 350 media outlets to include: Fox 5 News, BET, Black Enterprise Magazine, BRAVO, CBS News, ABC, NBC, The CW, Yahoo Finance, MarketWatch, The Money Show, Bloomberg Businessweek, Beyond the Dow, Atlanta Business Chronicle, Reuters, Dealbreaker, WORTH, Boston's Business Journal, EMoney Daily, and the Chicago Business Journal to name a few.

She is a graduate of Morgan State University School of Business and Management and worked with the U.S. Department of Treasury and other governmental agencies to assist them in planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities.

Gill, the speaker for baccalaureate services, has preached to youth and adults throughout the states of South Carolina and North Carolina as well as other parts of the country such as Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Cincinnati, Ohio. She has also served as a pastoral intern in Patterson, California; Chicago, Illinois; and Charlotte, NC.

Gill is a 2012 graduate of the historic Columbia College for women in Columbia, SC where she holds a bachelor’s degree in English Education and was actively involved in the NAACP, SC Teaching Fellow’s cohort, and the Zeta Tau Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. She received her Master of Divinity in May of 2015 from Duke Divinity School in Durham, NC. While at Duke, Rev. Gill served as Vice President of the Black Seminarians Union and was named the 2014 recipient of the Addie Davis Award for Excellence in Preaching from the Baptist Women in Ministry out of Atlanta, Georgia.
