The Baccalaureate speaker for commencement week is Rev. Racquel C.N. Gill, pastor-in-resident at St. Paul Community Baptist Church in Brooklyn, New York. The Baccalaureate Service is Friday, May 6 at 6 p.m. in the Annie Merner Pfeiffer Chapel. As one of the nation's leading experts on the art of activating wealth potential, Financial Architect, Entrepreneur and Chief Financial Officer, Holland is founder of The Wealthy Leaders Institute and Chairman of LaShawne Holland International® (dba Holland & Holland Enterprises, LLC), a financial development and wealth activation education company focusing on financial literacy education, money mindset mastery, economic elevation, and wealth empowerment. Gill is a 2012 graduate of the historic Columbia College for women in Columbia, SC where she holds a bachelor’s degree in English Education and was actively involved in the NAACP, SC Teaching Fellow’s cohort, and the Zeta Tau Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. She received her Master of Divinity in May of 2015 from Duke Divinity School in Durham, NC. While at Duke, Rev. Gill served as Vice President of the Black Seminarians Union and was named the 2014 recipient of the Addie Davis Award for Excellence in Preaching from the Baptist Women in Ministry out of Atlanta, Georgia.
