HARRIS-STOWE STATE UNIVERSITY RECEIVES APPROVAL FROM EDUCATION COMMISSION TO OFFER GRADUATE DEGREES

Posted By: How May I Help You NC on May 04, 2016 The Coordinating Board for Higher Education’s approval places the university closer to offering master’s level programs Harris-Stowe State University (HSSU) is one step closer and only one step away, from offering graduate degree programs. The Coordinating Board for Higher Education held its statewide meetings on the HSSU campus Wednesday and as a part of their agenda, approved the measure. Previously, Harris-Stowe was only authorized to offer undergraduate degree programs with an emphasis on selected disciplines. The final step will be for the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) to conduct a site visit to approve Harris-Stowe’s designation as a Master Level granting institution.
