STUDENT PROFILE WARREN RADEBE

Radebe ‘16 has long been a progressive social activist in his native South Africa and North Carolina and a self- acclaimed ambassador for LGBT rights. He enjoys contributing his experience and knowledge on several committees; namely, he is the member of the Charlotte Black Gay Pride in North Carolina, organizing committee member for Southern Equality North Carolina Annual Conference 2016 and an advisor of Sexuality Advocacy For Equality (SAFE) Pride on Johnson C. Smith University campus. He was Senator At Large for the Student Government Association and an assistant for the Multicultural Student Affairs office. He is also the coordinator and founder of the Annual LGBTIQ Pride 2014 and 2015 event on campus. As a political science major, Radebe was selected to participate at the Annual HBCU Summit in Washington DC at the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) headquarters.
