SSU to hold 2016 Urban Economic Summit and Business Expo

Posted By: How May I Help You NC on June 08, 2016 Savannah State University (SSU) College of Business Administration (COBA) and the Center for Advancement of Creativity and Entrepreneurship (ACE) joins with Urban Savannah Chamber of Commerce for the first Urban Economic Summit and Business Expo on June 23, 2016, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. This event will be held at SSU’s Student Union and the Torian Auditorium in the Jordan building. African American, minority and women owned businesses are invited to learn from experts about the opportunities for economic business growth, especially within the Savannah market and throughout the Coastal Empire. Experts include speakers from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), Georgia Department of Economic Development, Small Business Assistance Corporation (SBAC), SSU and more. The summit workshops with special guest speakers take place in the morning, followed by luncheon at 12:45 p.m. with guest speaker Cassius Butts, SBA Region IV Regional Administrator. The organizational expo will feature vendors such as Wells Fargo, U.S. Census Bureau, The Creative Coast, South State Bank, Georgia Power, Mike Holland from State Farm Insurance, UGA Small Business Development Center and more.
