LITTLE GIRLS who aren't of *African descent*

LITTLE GIRLS who aren
Posted By: Kamilah Henry on January 24, 2006

Okay, I went to my brother's first basketball game today. He's getting so mature, I'm so excited for him. He's in the 8th grade and is 13, but is bigger than I am and grows every single day. He is dark-skinned and looks like he's 18, and is just like his friends - a jock. HOWEVER, all of his friends are white, and thus now that he's getting older, all of the little chickenhead girls all over him aren't as dark as me EITHER.

Now I know, living where we live, I didn't start realizing my beautiful skin until freshman year, so he has until next year, but now (I'm sorry I can't hold it back anymore) with these little 13-year old, boobs all out, will do anything for any thing with a stick no matter how much they disrespect them, too much make-up to be in school, blond-hair-blue-eyes "girls" I'm scared he will get caught up too soon into these thing our men seem to like nowadays because they're easier to deal with - because we require "too much respect" (basically.) I'm sorry if that's politically incorrect or whatever, but I really don't want my brother getting into that too young, but they won't let him get away! The second he stands up, just because he is the only brother on the team, they all jump up and start "Jamie!!! We love you Jamie!!"...I can't handle this. If they had more respect for themselves (I watched the boys yell at them, tell them to do things), or (and) were Black, I wouldn't have such a problem with it....-Kam

I feel you. My little cousin is the MVP of his high school basketball team. Lately Iv'e noticed a lot of his attention is on girls. However he is still very focused on his academics, spiritual believes, and sports but often gets side tracked by these little fast a** girls. I dont want him to get caught up in any drama nor do I want him to loose focuse. But like Sophonie said everyone has to live and learn but watching them learn is just the hard part.

I completly agree with how you are feeling. If this is something that concerns you why don't you talk to your brother about it.
