Morgan Community Mile CARE Grant Funder Visits University

Posted By: How May I Help You NC on June 22, 2016 On June 16, Morgan State University President David Wilson met with Dale Sutherland, president and founder of Code 3; Darryl DeSousa, deputy commissioner, Baltimore City Police Department (BCPD); Maj. Rich Worley, BCPD – Northeastern District; Michael Hilliard, community services director for HARBEL Community Organization, Inc.; and other partners participating in the Morgan Community Mile’s Community Action Response Effort (CARE) grant program. The group discussed a new, innovative community policing project designed to reduce the number of property crimes in the Northeast Baltimore communities surrounding the University. Code 3, a non-profit organization that works with law enforcement and the communities they serve, recently awarded Morgan with a grant in support of the CARE program.
