|
Posted By: Reginald Culpepper on July 11, 2016 FEATURED Content The National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC) has selected CharlotteLaw and Colgate's Taurian Houston ('13) for its 2016 Rising Star Award. He received the honor on June 26th during the NAAC Awards Luncheon as part of the greater National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics Convention. "During my time at Charlotte School of Law, the focus was always on how to best transfer the knowledge I gained in the classroom into the skills I needed to be successful in the sports industry,” Taurian says. “My professors encouraged me to take advantage of any experiential learning opportunity that came my way, which led me to my first job working in college athletics when I was a 2L.” “Additionally, they always reminded me that service to others should be at the center of any career path that I chose to pursue. I’m forever grateful for the support that I received during my time in school, and hopefully I can pass along words of wisdom to the next generation of legal leaders CSL produces."
