Posted By: Hija Chang on August 01, 2016 Posted by Morehouse News Tune in today (July 29, 2016) at noon to WABE 90.1 to hear Ron Thomas Director of the Morehouse Journalism and Sports Program and four of his students discuss their coverage of the 2016 Democratic National Convention on Closer Look. Closer Look is a newsmagazine featuring the key stories of the day. It’s a community forum for and about metro Atlanta. Hosts Rose Scott and Jim Burress know the ins and outs of covering news important around Atlanta. The interview will include a wrap up of convention highlights witnessed by the Morehouse students. Thanks to last year’s $1 million donation from basketball Hall of Famer Charles Barkley, the Morehouse College Journalism and Sports Program provided this rich news reporting experience. Throughout the week, Ron and his Morehouse reporters posted articles and blog posts, and tweeted live from events, as staff members of The Maroon Tiger, the student news organization at Morehouse.
