And together we’ll shape a stronger future for our company and your career. **WHAT WILL I BE DOING?** In your role as a Snacks Merchandising Manager at Kellogg, you will be part of our success by: + Developing and monitoring an annual labor plan for the Districts to achieve labor related key performance indicators (KPIs) and initiatives by ensuring Districts have an optimal labor mix + Analyzing, troubleshooting, building, and making changes to full and part time merchandiser’s itineraries to maximize efficiency + Leading the sales component work for the router review process and making ongoing recommendations to the distribution team + Managing the labor budget efficiently and determining capacity needs and changes to maximize the flexibility of the merchandising function + Recruiting, training, coaching, and developing staff + Approving submitted hours and investigating submissions + Identifying staffing needs and proactively building a bench + Partnering with managers and using company standards to ensure workloads and itineraries are accurate + Identifying employee training and development opportunities and partnering with Zone Trainer to schedule additional training + Conducting labor variance analysis and developing gap plans to reduce overspends + Partnering with Distribution and District Managers to improve delivery and route efficiencies + Distributing and building period variable labor budgets + Conducting work-withs with all merchandisers on a quarterly basis **WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?** As well as a hunger to learn and succeed in Sales, to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements: Required + High school diploma + Demonstrated management experience + Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, train and direct entry level employees + Excellent interpersonal communication skills (both oral and written) + Ability to quantify, problem solve and analyze information and data + Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work independently + Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office with extensive knowledge of building and using Excel spreadsheets Preferred + DSD experience within the consumer packaged goods industry + Bachelor’s Degree **WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?** The ideal candidate will reside in the Baltimore / Washington DC metro areas. + This position requires an extended work schedule which will include nights, weekends, and early morning hours with occasional travel outside of zone. This position includes up to 20% travel. + Physical activities may include: lifting, bending, standing, reaching, kneeling, and occasional lifting. + This position provides participation in one of our Fleet Program options. The ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, work overtime as needed and the ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position.
