Posted By: How May I Help You NC on August 04, 2016 In a mid-July ranking, MONEY magazine has ranked North Carolina A&T State University as the No. 1 best value historically black college or university (HBCU) in the nation. The 2016 Best Value Colleges ranking screened about 2,000 four-year colleges and universities to determine which of them deliver the most value. Colleges and universities were ranked on 24 factors across three categories – educational quality, affordability and alumni success. Of the 705 university’s ranked, N.C. A&T ranked No. 190 overall making it No. 7 in North Carolina and No. 4 in the University of North Carolina System. To make the first cut, colleges had to have at least 500 students; have a graduation rate at or above the medium for its respective institutional category (public or private); have enough data to be analyzed; and not be identified as in financial difficulty by the U.S. Department of Education or bond ratings agencies. This list places A&T among Ivy League and larger public and private institutions as well as HBCUs. For the complete list, visit MONEY’s website. Source: http://www.ncat.edu/news/2016/08/ncat-best...
