WSSU sophomore Domtilla Kiplagat and senior Fawzia Kheir both led the way for the Rams when the duo broke the 20-minute barrier for the first time this season. The terrific performances by Kiplagat and Kheir were a part of a great overall team effort by the Rams with four WSSU runners placing in the top 20 in the women's 5K run. As at team, the Rams placed third at the meet and topped all NCAA Division II programs that competed. Kiplagat set the tone for the Rams when she placed fifth at the meet with a season-best 19:27.1 while Kheir had a personal record 19:45.6 to place seventh. WSSU senior Micalyne Zimmerman placed 19th with a 21:30.8 while senior Taska Johnson added a 20th place finish with a 21:35.1. More: http://wssurams.com/sports/w-xc/2016-17/re...
