Alabama State University's Communications Recording Technology program is sponsoring a Financial Planning Symposium tonight (Oct.12), at 6 p.m. in the ASU Hardy Student Center's Theater. The purpose of the event is to educate those attending to get a better grasp on controlling their entire financial "being," which includes living within their financial means, saving money, accruing wealth and creating a diverse culture of giving and philanthropy. This event is free and open to all students, faculty, staff and the public. Topics will include: student loan repayment options, budgeting, building credit and wealth, saving for retirement, and philanthropy.
