Having a college degree lends the opportunity to contribute positive changes to the world's biggest problems, from depleting energy resources to extreme global poverty. If you want to land a career someday that will change the world forever, below you'll find five degrees that can help you accomplish this. MedicalIt's only fitting that one of the world-changing degrees included in the list is one that saves lives on a daily basis. Physicians work with medical staff to diagnose and treat different diseases. The diseases they can treat vary with what specialization they choose to go with. Physicians are at the forefront of disease treatment and prevention and are advocates of proper health habits and standards. As the future breeds new health risks and problems, the need for more experienced and specialized physicians is certain. Computer ScienceThe unprecedented rapid growth of technology has brought about the creation of new tools at society's disposal. Computer scientists are poised to manage these advanced tools and probably create new ones from it. Someone with an online master’s in computer science has the technical skills to solve a myriad of problems outside the spectrum of computing, from agriculture to crime prevention. Logically, people who are well-versed in Finance and Economics principles and models can change the world slowly but surely by controlling money and setting noble and altruistic objectives. If money is responsibly handled, it is not at all evil, but rather a tool that positively empowers its wielder. You may even change the world indirectly by educating a future president or Nobel Prize winner! Business ManagementGreat businesses can reshape countries, if not worlds. In fact, today, there are billion-dollar companies that are helping grow their respective domestic economies. Business management majors can ignite change in the world by tailoring their business model for a safer and more efficient outcome. A degree, however, will not be enough to spark any change. One must also have the right mindset and the unyielding drive to do what's necessary to achieve the desired outcomes.
