What is your most memorable contribution as a Campus Queen?: My most memorable contribution as a campus queen occurred on August 30, 2016. I stood frontline beside Allen University's SGA-President and Vice President as they led a silent protest for student rights.. My presence, as a campus queen, was to solidify and affirm my advocacy for and with them as it related to their rights and questions about conditions and issues at hand. During the summer 2016, I attended the HBCU Kings and Queens Leadership Conference in New Orleans where I learned about the broader role of a campus queen. I am grateful for that experience because it helped me to envision and exercise my role as a campus leader beyond what is perceived as “queen-related" duties. I hold that at the end of the day with or without a crown--I am an Allen University student, still.
