Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Kwanzaa and A Salute To HBCUS With Tawi Family Village in Ohio

Ross Family Life Center 907 Lexington Avenue Columbus, Ohio It has been 50 years since the introduction of the Nguzo Saba, the Seven Principles. Join us for this week full of activities celebrating Black lives, Black family, Black love and the Seven Principles of Kwanzaa. Kwanzaa 50th Anniversary Celebration Schedule All evening celebrations will begin at 6:00pm at the Jerome H. Ross Family Life Center, 907 Lexington Avenue, Columbus, OH 43205. Umoja (Unity) Monday, December 26 Opening Ceremony hosted by the Elders of Tawi Family Village Kujichagulia (Self-Determination) Tuesday, December 27 Hosted by Ngozi Barbershop Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility) Wednesday, December 28 Hosted by Harmonious Health & Wellness and Black Nations United Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics) Thursday, December 29 Come out to shop and support local Black businesses at the Black Business Marketplace hosted by Black Business Exchange Nia (Purpose) Friday, December 30 A Salute to HBCU's hosted by Ohio HBCU Foundation. Bring a college bound student. Wear your HBCU gear. Kuumba (Creativity) Saturday, December 31 Karamu (Feast) Please join us for food, music and activities for kids. Feel free to bring a covered dish to share.
