This week composed of many events dedicated to preparing and motivating students to face the inevitable struggles to come especially as African American citizens. Programs included "See Me Aware," a **** cancer awareness forum, "See Me Happy to be ****," a free natural hair products giveaway and "See Me Support" which featured special social media challenges aimed at supporting our athletic department. One of the most significant aspects of this week was "See Me Advised" where an influential panel of seniors and juniors gave academic and post graduate advice to freshmen and sophomores. This allowed students to hear, first hand, how to effectively prepare for a career beyond college all while actually in college. In addition, they were given the opportunity to pick mentors in the same field and with similar aspirations. Watching students network with each other while preparing for their future was truly rewarding! Read more at EBONY http://www.ebony.com/contestants/suna-njie...
