HOw Many Times Can You Say I Love You?

HOw Many Times Can You Say I Love You?
Posted By: Regina Sealey on February 03, 2006

I'm in a situation where a guy I lost contact with, a little over 3yrs ago, is back into my life. We had met online, and immediately clicked. That then led to 2yrs of a relationship/friendship, where we hardly saw each other. But through those 2yrs we had lost contact, for a reason neither of us can remember. When we regained contact, he tells me he's going to be a father. Shell shocked, but not upset, because I didn't know exactly where we stood, I congratulated him, and for whatever reason we lost contact again. Now 3yrs later, I get a message from him on blackplanet, where we had initially met. Surprised, we speak on there for awhile, and exchange #'s.

Now 1wk and a half later, neither of us recall why we stopped speaking to begin with, and he's telling me he never stopped thinking about me, and tried to get in contact with me through all my old email addresses, and can't help but have the same feelings for me.

Now I like this guy, and the situation we were in before, I didn't know what to categorize it as. But now, he's telling me he definitely wants to be with me, and wants to see me when I get back to NYC. But in my head I'm asking myself, how can I make this work? Our conversations last for hours, we are insync as friends, and clearly still have feelings for each that are continuously growing. But with him in NY and me in VA, do I really want to put myself back out there with a man I click with instantly, but now has a child for another woman?

I need some advice ladies & gents!

I feel you on the whole, losing contact and finding each other thing again, cause I'm goin through the same situation that you are minus the new baby cause he had a child when we met and still that is his only, me and my guy have been doin this for almost 5 yrs now.. But anyways, just take your time... cause even though yall may click now,a relationship may be more difficult. If its meant to be, it'll be regardless. It just may not happen when u want it 2. Plus being a long distance thing, that puts extra strain on it. Cause my guy is a truck driver, and i dont see him during the week, and hardly see him on the weekends, and we stay in the same state.. so being hours away will cause more strain then its worth
