I think that we as black people feel that we have a right to say that word because we were called it for so many years in a derogatory way and now that we have overcome and are actually being celebrated, we call ourselves that to prove a point. Now there are some people in the world that act like n*ggas everyday, but the majority just say it as a way to refer to friends or something so I don't see nothing wrong with it.

i feel that the word n*gga should not be used at all but it is a hard word to stop using especially living in Chester City i am not saying this to get people to stop because i still use the word but it should all be ended. once we start to respect each other then so will other races

Personally, I hate the word "n*gga." It is very offensive and shows a sign of ignorance. I mean if some one is your friend...call them your friend...not "your n*gga." My African American People, WE ARE NOT IN SLAVERY ANY MORE!!!! So, why not leave the words of the past...in the past. I'm not saying I have never used the word, but I think our people use it too freely and need to think of something else. Everyone knows that if a caucasian called us a "n*gga" we would be ready to fight and have a whole new civil rights movement. Our ancestors, civil rights activist, etc. would be appalled if they heard us saying one of the terms used to degrade and put down our people. We are too smart to still be using this term. IT IS 2006.....get with the program.
