Dayton Contemporary Dance Company will perform at Cheyney University

Posted By: Reginald Culpepper on February 20, 2017 WHO: The Dayton Contemporary Dance Company WHAT: Dayton Contemporary Dance Company (DCDC), an ensemble of artists who use the body as a way to understand ourselves in the world, will perform as part of Cheyney University’s Arts & Lectures series. DCDC is taking its show to the nation’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to present thought-provoking, energetic, and engaging new dance work by living choreographers of color. The program, “Young, Gifted and Black: A Transformative Experience”, is open to the public. WHERE: Marian Anderson Music Center on Cheyney University of Pennsylvania’s historic campus. WHEN: Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 7:00 pm A liberal arts university, Cheyney University of Pennsylvania hosts signature programs such as the Keystone Honors Academy, the Aquaculture Research and Education Laboratory, and the accredited Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management program. Recognized as the nation’s 1st HBCU, Cheyney University has been educating students since 1837.
