Confidence is Key
|
Posted By: Ashlee Dickson on February 26, 2006 Many people are afraid of the thought of being alone, or worse, a nobody and alone. One of those people used to be me, I was the person who never went out, who'd rather sit at home and watch MAD TV or Madagascar with my nephew on a Saturday night. even though I hung around the 'Popular Kids,' I never considered them to be my real friends. I used to think that the only person who cared about Ashlee Nicole was in fact, Ashlee Nicole and you know what? That's fine, even though I've learned that not to be true. I had to believe in myself and prove to others that they should believe in me too because no one is going to see anything in me if I can't wake up and see things for myself. I've overcame obstacles and made a change in my life, I was not always this headstrong or mature, better yet, responsible. I love myself for who I am, no matter the faults, and I've never made a mistake, I simply learned a lesson. This lesson: Anything is possible, you may have to work a little harder than the next man, but you can do WHATEVER you put your heart and mind to.
