Media Asset Manager

• Manage the ingest, organization, and archive processes for digital production assets

• Oversee the logging process for all assets

• Analyze video archive to find efficiencies and increase usability

• Coordinate with content team to curate video content and streamline editing process

• Direct field producers to properly manage media (footage formats, HDD organization, capture plans, ingest needs, and edit timelines)

• Manage file delivery and QC processes

• Oversee encoding workflows

• Perform backup and data maintenance operations on the video library

• Teach and assist MLS staff members in using the AVID systems

• Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a busy environment
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and attention to detail
• Experience in AVID environment including Media Composer, Interplay, Media Central, and Access
• Knowledge of video encoding software (ie: Telestream Vantage, Adobe Media Encoder)
• Mac and PC experience
• Experience with delivery technologies including FTP, Dropbox (or similar), Aspera
• Availability for weekend and evening shifts as needed
• Basic soccer knowledge

Preferred Experience

• Knowledge of LTO and Raid Storage systems with experience using AVID ISIS specifically
• Studio production signal flow and processes
• Familiarity with XML files, sidecar files, closed captioning, and other ancillary encoding technologies & processes.
• Video production experience including shooting, editing, and general production
• Passion for soccer and a working knowledge of Major League Soccer, its clubs and its players
