Posted By: How May I Help You NC on March 24, 2017 OSU-Cascades is seeking a full time, 1.0 FTE, 12-month Associate Dean. The Associate Dean provides leadership for OSU-Cascades academic programs. The Associate Dean will assist the Dean of Academic Affairs in leading the campus through a period of rapid enrollment growth, significant campus transition, and the expansion of academic programs. As an academic leader, the Associate Dean is responsible for championing innovative higher education practices, supporting the faculty in professional success and academic program expansion, and maintaining and increasing the quality of the academic programs and the campus. The Associate Dean reports to the Dean of Academic Affairs at OSU-Cascades and, with the Dean, has supervisory responsibility for faculty and classified-staff. By Fall 2017, OSU-Cascades will employ approximately 65 faculty. The Associate Dean is a member of the Dean’s leadership team. As part of this team, the Associate Dean has responsibility for processes related to academic programs and faculty that enable the campus to execute its mission with excellence and thrive during this period of growth. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2017 but the actual start date can be negotiated based on the successful candidate’s availability. OSU-Cascades is a small, friendly campus, often selected by students for its small class sizes and intimate academic environment that enables meaningful student and faculty interactions. Additionally, the size of the campus encourages a high degree of interdisciplinary interaction and collegiality. At the same time, a strong partnership exists with OSU-Corvallis, which has a diverse student body of 25,000 students from across Oregon, all 50 states, and more than 100 countries.
