Location: Pittsburgh, PA The International Living Future Institute (ILFI) seeks a talented, high energy Living Product Challenge (LPC) Coordinator to join our staff. The LPC Coordinator will provide support for the LPC team on the growth and development of the Living Product Challenge and Declare program. The position will also provide materials consulting for Living Building Challenge teams and serve as a link between the Living Product Challenge and Living Building Challenge programs. The LPC Coordinator will also support the LPC manager in launching a new Living Future “Hub” in Pittsburgh and supporting the growth of all Living Future Programs in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast Regions including the Living Building Challenge, Living Community Challenge, and the Living Future Network. The successful applicant must be a multitasking self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for the ILFI mission, knowledge of green building, green manufacturing, and/or sustainable business with strong interpersonal and organizational skills. The position will be filled in Pittsburgh, PA and will involve periodic travel within the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regions – and occasionally beyond. ILFI has offices in Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia and additional staff in Chicago and Boston. Description of Duties • Develop outreach list and assist the LPC manager on outreach to the Pittsburgh manufacturing community on sustainable manufacturing through the Living Product Challenge and Declare program under the direction of the LPC Director. • Liaison with local universities sustainable design, manufacturing, and life cycle analysis under the direction of ILFI’s Chief Scientist. • Conduct outreach and collaborate with Green Building Alliance to be a local connector for all ILFI programs in the region including the Living Community Challenge and Living Building Challenge. • Support the Living Product Challenge and Declare staff with a variety of program development, research, and program management tasks. • Assist in the development of Living Product Challenge and Declare resources such as the website guidebooks and case studies. • Conduct technical consulting for Living Product Challenge and Living Building Challenge projects under the direction of the LPC manager. • Assist with the program development and logistical details for the Living Product Expo. • Provide customer service for Declare and the Living Product Challenge by answering general program queries both by phone and electronically. • Grow and support the Living Future Network in the Pittsburgh region in collaboration with Green Building Alliance.
