Posted By: How May I Help You NC on April 20, 2017 Reporting to the Executive Director, Columbia College Fund, in the Office of Alumni Affairs and Development, the Director is an integral part of a dynamic fundraising team. Responsibilities: -The Director of Volunteer Management will have strategic oversight over all College Fund volunteer groups (YLC, YAFAB, FDC, Class Agents, CCW Development Committee) and will ensure that the goals of these groups positively impact the objectives of the College Fund overall. He/she will work closely with College Fund staffs who directly manage each volunteer group to ensure that there is a comprehensive and coordinated approach to the treatment, education, cultivation, and stewardship of the volunteer community. He/she will help foster collaboration between volunteer groups by synchronizing the efforts of the volunteer leadership of these groups. He/she will take the lead on conceptualizing and planning volunteer events in coordination with the primary staff person. In particular, he/she will be responsible for revitalizing the Volunteer Kickoff event in the fall, as well as coordinating details for FDC affinity events, and YLC events throughout the year. -The Director will have explicit management over the Class Agent Program. He/she will set short and long term goals for the group. He/she will be responsible for recruiting and onboarding new class agents and cultivating and stewarding existing agents. He/she will launch the new volunteer platform and will handle the details of its implementation. He/she will think of new and creative ways to engage class agents around their roles through better communications as well as implementing a volunteer stewardship plan by the end of FY18. He/she will serve as principle point of contact for the Co-chairs and Vice Chairs of the program and will schedule regular communications with them. -The Director will establish relationships and work closely with donor relations, marketing, major gifts, alumni relations, and events staff to accomplish his/her goals. -The Director meets with volunteers in and around New York City as needed.
