Posted By: How May I Help You NC on April 25, 2017 The Department of Epidemiology in the College of Public Health at the University of Iowa is seeking candidates with specific training and expertise in infectious disease epidemiology for a tenure-track faculty position. The faculty member will join a Department of 19 primary and 64 secondary and adjunct faculty members. The Department is dedicated to infectious disease epidemiology as a primary focus area with an established Center of Emerging Infectious Diseases. Outstanding collaboration between our faculty and the faculty from the health sciences and other colleges at the University of Iowa and Iowa State University is a hallmark of the Department. Duties of the faculty member will include conducting externally funded research, teaching of students and health professionals, advising students, mentoring faculty and students along with academic and public health service. Screening will begin as soon as possible and continue until position is filled. Anticipated start date could be as early as the 2017-2018 academic year.
