If so, New Profit wants to talk to you about an exciting opportunity to join us as an Associate on our Portfolio Performance and Support team. As an Associate with the Portfolio Performance and Support (PPS) team, you will provide operational, administrative and analytic support across a number of cross-portfolio support functions. The PPS team’s focus is to increase the impact of New Profit’s work with organizations in our portfolio, resulting in better performance by those organizations along the dimensions of impact, scale and sustainability. Our role is to help New Profit’s leadership select the most promising social entrepreneurs and organizations for investment, set and refine the standards of organizational performance, develop and improve the tools and processes necessary to consistently achieve those standards, and monitor the progress of individual organizations and the portfolio as a whole. WHAT YOU’LL DO The Associate role is an entry-level role that supports a number of functions across the PPS team including investment selection, portfolio support and learning, portfolio performance management, and overall administrative and operational support to the team. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Coordinate a cross-functional pipeline list of potential portfolio organizations • Schedule and participate in calls with organizations interested in learning more about New Profit and ensure our insights are tracked in our database and systems • Create materials (including memos and synthesis of findings) in support of due diligence activities on organizations in active selection process with New Profit • Coordinate the onboarding process for new portfolio organizations, including ensuring new organizations have up-to-date information about New Profit portfolio supports • Assist with the codification of toolkits in our capacity building areas (e.g., strategy support, board development, leadership coaching, growth capital campaigns) • Coordinate our quarterly and semi-annual portfolio data collection processes with current portfolio organizations • Respond to inbound requests for data and analysis from New Profit team members across the organization related to New Profit supports and organizational performance • Provide strong project management, coordination and operational support across the PPS team’s functions and workstreams HOW TO APPLY To apply for this position, please submit a resume and thoughtful cover letter addressed to Nithyaa Venkataramani, Manager, Portfolio Investing here.
