Posted By: How May I Help You NC on May 08, 2017 FEATURED Content Congratulations to Morgan State University alumnus Samir Taylor for being honored among the Baltimore Business Journal’s ‘40 Under 40.’ Taylor, who graduated from Morgan in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in architecture and environmental design Marks Thomas / Portraits 2015and a Master of Architecture in 2012, was recognized by the Journal as one of 40 leaders under the age of 40 who innovate, engage, excel in business and improve the Greater Baltimore community. More than 250 nominations were evaluated before the final 40 were selected. The honorees ranged from bankers and lawyers to designers, entrepreneurs, social justice advocates, government employees and nonprofit workers. Taylor now designs for Marks, Thomas Architects, applying his skills to residential projects in Baltimore such as The Lenore apartment conversion, 520 Park Avenue and the Key’s Pointe development in O’Donnell Heights. He also helped design one of the installations at Baltimore’s Light City 2017: “Communication Gaps.” The light installation required the dance movements of two strangers on opposite ends of the Inner Harbor’s canals to control the way light from floating sculptures moved across the water.
