Bring your gifts for ministry and passion for young adult faith development to the University of Dayton's 33 member campus ministry team. We seek an energetic, faith-filled campus minister who can lead the three person Neighborhood ministry team in serving primarily junior and senior undergraduate students living in the university student neighborhoods and Caldwell apartments and advance Campus Ministry’s mission to foster spiritual growth, cultivate faith, build the faith community, educate for justice and peace, and develop gifts for servant leadership. This includes developing strategic initiatives for ministry and engaging in direct ministry in the student neighborhoods. This campus minister supervises and collaborates closely with the Campus Minister for Interfaith Ministry and the Student Neighborhood Graduate Student. This position has a particular attentiveness to implementing Catholic and broadly Christian faith development initiatives in the Spirit of the University of Dayton's Marianist charism and to coordinating pastoral care outreach to undergraduate students in this ministry area. Essential skills include pastoral care and crises response, creativity in ministry with young adults on campus, visioning, planning, and assessment, and collaborative leadership and interpersonal skills. This is a 10.5 month position with benefits. Salary commensurate with experience. Proposed start date July 15, 2017.
