Several Panther Student-Athletes Receives 2017 Arthur Ashe Sports-Scholar Award

Posted By: How May I Help You NC on May 10, 2017 Panthers from several sports are recipients of the 2017 Arthur Ashe Sports Scholar Award. The award is named after the famed African American tennis player who was the lone African American male to ever win the singles championship at Wimbledon, the US Open, as well as the Australian Open. The Ashe Award is endowed upon student- athletes who have excelled athletically and in their scholastic endeavors. In order to be considered for this award students must sustain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.2 and be active on their respective campuses and in their community. The following athletes have received this distinguished award: Admassu Williams, Men's Basketball Alexis Borman, Bowling Brittany Kinney, Bowling Christian Rousseau, Football David "Trey" Green, Football James Paul Bryant, Football Josh Simmons, Football Harold Carter, Men's Golf Braelah McGinnis, Soccer Reina Cruz, Soccer Amira Wynn, Soccer Ashley Higgins,Softball Kiara Ross, Softball Briana Knowles, Softball Amanda Ford, Softball Kylar Ward-Flowers, Softball Laurisa Hernandez, Softball Shelby Williams, Softball Freddy Quintero, Men's Tennis Ulrick Boyogueno, Men's Tennis Sergio Avella, Men's Tennis Sydney Thomas, Women's Tennis Neharika Rama, Women's Tennis Shaddae Findley, Women's Tennis Trinity Randolph, Women's Tennis Dylan Gladney, Men's Track Tyron Baker, Men's Track Syed Hussian, Men's Track Alana Williams, Women's Track Christen Augustine, Volleyball Photos: http://pvpanthers.com/news/2017/5/8/bowlin...
