Posted By: Will Moss on May 11, 2017 FEATURED Content About the Position StreetSquash is seeking a driven, innovative College Access Coordinator who has a passion for supporting young people and putting them on the path to achieving their higher education and career goals. This position will begin June 26th and will report to the Senior Director of College Access, Success & Alumni Support. Responsibilities • Provide individualized support for our cohort of high school seniors and their families throughout the college application and financial aid process including helping them to build balanced college lists, complete college, and financial aid applications, develop personal and well-written essays, and submit all necessary paperwork • Coordinate with guidance counselors in partner high schools to ensure all students are getting the support needed • Communicate regularly with parents, mentors, and others in each student’s support system • Communicate regularly with college admissions officers to advocate for seniors throughout admissions process • Implement an effective College Prep curriculum for 9th-11th grade students, focusing on academic preparedness, writing, college knowledge, and ACT preparation • Coordinate college trips, workshops, and presentations on college access, affordability, and the value of higher education to youth and parents and expose students to a wide variety of post-secondary options • Work closely with other members of College Access, Success & Alumni Support (CASAS) team to support CASAS programs • To apply, please send resume and cover letter to jobs@streetsquash.org with College Access Coordinator in the subject line.
