Texas College Introduces Men's And Women's Cross Country Team

Posted By: Reginald Culpepper on June 13, 2017 Texas College has decided to introduce a Cross Country program for the upcoming 2017-2018 year. This will be the first time Texas College has ever had the sport on campus. The team will compete in the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC). Elijah Burwell has been named as the Head Coach for the team. The team is anticipated to start with 10 runners. About Texas College (TC) Celebrating over 120 years of providing educational opportunities, Texas College is a historical black college founded in 1894, by a group of CME ministers. Our mission, which continues to embody the principles of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, is to ensure that the student body experiences balanced intellectual, psychological, social and spiritual development, aimed at enabling them to become active productive members of society where they live and work.
