Former Alcorn State University WR standout, Donald Driver, inducted into Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame

Posted By: Reginald Culpepper on July 25, 2017 Former Alcorn State University Braves standout wide receiver Donald Driver has solidified his status as a Green Bay Packers legend. Driver, a 1999 Alcorn graduate who played 14 seasons with the Packers, was inducted into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame Saturday, July 22. The former seventh-round, 213 pick in the 1999 NFL Draft went on to catch 743 passes for 10, 137 yards and 61 touchdowns over 205 games, making him the all-time leading receiver in Packers history. Driver was also a member of the Packers team who defeated the Pittsburg Steelers in Super Bowl XLV in 2011. According to a recording of Driver’s speech on , target=_blank>www.packers.com “To be the all-time Packer leading receiver in franchise history, that tells you that you’re among some of the icons and legends that has played in the green and gold,” said Driver. “To surpass those individuals is something that I know I will cherish for a long time.” Driver is married to Betina Driver, who also graduated from Alcorn. The couple has three children; Christian, Christina and Charity.
