The Merck Manufacturing Leadership Development Program has two primary goals:

  • Provide entry level candidates who have Bachelor’s or Master’s degree level in the required fields listed below with a broad perspective of the core manufacturing functions of Merck's pharmaceutical, biological, animal health and vaccine products; specifically focused on one of the following tracks: business, operations, or technical.



  • Develop a bench of emerging talent who can prepare for future leadership positions of increasing responsibility within the organization through focused rotational experiences within the key areas of Merck Manufacturing Division (MMD).

    Candidate Requirements:
  • Education- BS or MS in one of the following:
    - Bio Engineering
    - Biochemistry/Biological Chemistry
    - Biology (concentration in but not limited to virology, cell biology, microbiology)
    - Biomedical Engineering
    - Biotechnology
    - Chemical Engineering
    - Chemistry
    - Industrial Engineering
    - Material Science and Engineering
    - Mechanical Engineering
    - Supply Chain/Logistics
  • GPA at least 3.3 overall, 3.5 in major
  • Candidate must have graduated from a college by the MMLDP program start date (August 1st 2018)
  • Candidate must be eligible to work in US without sponsorship
  • Must be willing to be assigned to different jobs and different sites over the first three years of employment.
