Position Specific Description This role is primarily responsible for executing Mechanical Engineering related activities on NEE electrical power generation plant systems and components during both normal operational troubleshooting and during overhauls events in support of equipment reliability, operational goals, and regulatory requirements. Equipment interface includes vendor drawings, plant system drawings, regulatory documents, logic diagrams, equipment databases, field walkdowns, modification reviews, and plant process computer trend reviews. The expectation is that the individual will interact with plant personnel (Operations, Maintenance, Planning, Work Control, and Outside Engineering Groups) to review / address assignment specific activities in support of maintaining Equipment Reliability. Job Overview: Employees in the role will be provided mentoring and practical hands on experience for relevant career-related activities encountered in the student’s area of study or specialization. To be considered for this position the applicant must be actively enrolled at a college or university as a full-time student seeking a bachelor’s degree or higher. Candidate must also have a current GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 0.00 to 4.00 scale).
