Texas Southern University academic community welcomes new deans

Posted By: Reginald Culpepper on October 16, 2017 Texas Southern University is proud to announce that two top professors have been named as deans, leading the academic community in two colleges. Dr. Maurice Odine will assume the position as dean of the School of Communication and Dr. Dianne Jemison-Pollard will assume the position as dean of the Honors College. Maurice Odine, Ph.D., served as professor and associate dean of the School of Journalism and Graphic Communication at Florida A&M University. Dianne Jemison-Pollard, Ph.D. is Professor of Theatre and Theatre Area Coordinator in the Department of Visual and Performing Arts. For over ten years, Dr. Jemison Pollard served as the Chairperson of the Department of Fine Arts at TSU (Art, Music, and Theatre). Drs. Pollard and Odine started their respective terms today.
