1st phone call *3-13-2006*
|
Posted By: Heleen Onuoha on March 13, 2006 From our 1st phone call I discovered something about you, I've never seen your face, I've only heard your name. You talking real nice, sounding real and true. What I really like you don't spit a weak game. With our 1st phone call we've both realized the same about each other. We have no time for beating around the bush. Either we gonna talk or do it, no need for a push. I learned alot about you because you volunteered. You learned alot about me because you wanted to hear. you werent shy and bashful with me; you got me comfortable to the point I asked point blankly: "What's good, do you really think you can handle me?" Replied back cooly, confidant, and cocky: "Maybe, we'll see if you can handle me": Only with that 1st phone call I liked your reality. Being real like that with me I had no choice but to be---the same. Now we're both anxious waiting on that day. All because of our 1st phone call you've had me calling back. Now I got you calling me; we're right on track. If you enjoyed this article, Join HBCU CONNECT today for similar content and opportunities via email! |
