Free & Open to the Public. Sponsored by ASU's Small Business Development Center & Others.

WHAT: ASU's Marketing Wonderland Workshop Helps Small Businesses Reach Holiday Shoppers.
WHEN: Wednesday (Nov.1), from 10:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.
WHERE: Montgomery Area Chamber Business Resource Center, 600 S. Court Street.

Local small businesses can get a boost - up on the holiday season's sales figures by attending the Marketing Wonderland Workshop, which is hosted by Alabama State University's Small Business Development Center (SBDC) on Nov.1 (Wednesday), from 10:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce's Business Resource Center, which is located at 600 S. Court Street.

Registration starts at 10:30 a.m. and the event is free and open to the public.

Participants will explore how to drive new business sales and proceeds into their coffers with social media, email marketing 'do’s and don’ts," get tips on how to reach customers with mobile and video techniques, and much more, said Andrea Mosley, director of ASU's Small Business Development Center.

“The event will be an interactive special live stream workshop designed to show small businesses how to be discovered when holiday-season shoppers are searching online,” Moseley said. “The workshop gives local businesses a huge advantage on how to 'rock' this holiday season with great marketing tips,” she added.

Mosley said 78 percent of shoppers use the Internet for holiday gift research. “Hopefully the Marketing Wonderland will show small business how to reach them,” Mosley said.

Although there is no cost to attend, participants must preregister by going to https://asbdc.ecenterdirect.com/events/790... and then click on the green “Sign Up” icon.

Sponsoring the event along with ASU is the U.S. Small Business Administration, Google, Facebook, Square, and Constant Contact.
