Alcorn State University highest ranked HBCU in College Consensus Best Colleges in Mississippi 2017-2018 list

Alcorn was the highest ranked Mississippi HBCU and fifth overall in the state on College Consensus’ Best Colleges in Mississippi 2017-2018 list. College Consensus is a unique, new ranking website that combines the results of the most reputable college ranking publishers and thousands of student reviews from around the web to provide an accurate and comprehensive score of a school’s reputation and quality. President Alfred Rankins Jr. expressed his delight in the University’s recent and continued success. “This has been another strong year for the university in terms of receiving outstanding accolades for excellence,” said Rankins. “Rankings are often used by prospective students and their parents to decide what college or university best fits their needs. We believe Alcorn is a good fit for those seeking a comprehensive land-grant and liberal arts educational foundation.
