Alabama State University-NITY Inaugural Week Packed with Fun & Enrichment for Hornet Nation Students

Ross, Yo Gotti/Blac Youngsta/Jacquees Concert, Voter Ed, Fall Carnival, Step-Show, Charnele Brown & More. "The Buzz is Back @ ASU!" WHEN: Sunday (Nov. 12) - Sunday (Nov. 19). WHERE: All over the ASU campus - see below for events, dates & times. Alabama State University’s Division of Student Affairs will host its first ever “ASU-NITY: Student Appreciation Week” from Sunday (Nov. 12) - Sunday (Nov.19). The weeklong series of student-centered events offers an opportunity for students to kick-off homecoming by celebrating campus life through fun, educational, social, cultural, spiritual and health/wellness activities. “ASU-NITY” will include a Fall Carnival and a “Real Talk” seminar with music and with actor Charnele Brown (who portrayed the character Kim on “A Different World,”) and a Pre-Turkey Day Classic student concert featuring Yo Gotti, Black Youngsta and Jacquees.and much more. Saturday, November 18 ASU Cares Campuswide Clean-Up! hosted by Miss ASU Councill Hall (Front Entrance) 1 p.m. National Panhellenic Council Homecoming Step Show Dunn-Oliver Acadome 7 p.m. Sunday, November 19 Swag Surf Pool Party sponsored by Student Government Association Norman Walton Aquatic Center 5 p.m. “Hornets Give!” All week long, Hornets are encouraged to give new, hygiene items (i.e., soap, deodorant, toothpaste, feminine hygiene products) that will be donated to the Family Sunshine Center. Items can be brought to the following locations and placed in the decorated boxes: Donate @ The SGA Complex (Hardy Center - 2nd Floor) or The Office of the Vice President of Student Affairs (Hardy Center-1st Floor).
