Scared to death

Scared to death
Posted By: Sathiyyah Parks-Barrett on March 14, 2006

I am really excited to begin college this upcoming semester. However I am having mixed feelings. There are going to be sooo many changes in my life, both socially and academically. I don't know how I am going to handle a relationship with my b/f. Although we are both going to be in-state...a matter of 30 minutes away from eachother, I am still skeptical.

I have never been away fom my family for so long, when I do I get homesick. To add to it all, two years ago, my freind started college as a freshman at Stanford University. She died in November of 2004 due to an allergic reaction that took place on campus. I am scared. i know that specific situation isn't going to take place, but there is plenty of room for something to go wrong. I am having a lot of mixed feelings about college.

I share those exact same feelings about the social , academic, and relationship obstacles, that we will face. Don't worry everything will work out just fine.

I feel the same way. Especially bein in D.C. i worry about terrorist attacks and subway accidents and stuff...subway bombs and stuff..... its crazy and I worry about making friends and a whole lotta other stuff.... Mostly i worry about finding friends because i have great ones now and I cant imagine anyone being as good a friend as them but i hope that I meet some good people. Like Brittney said...imma just keep God in mind. Good luck with everything Sathiyyah!
