That’s why Alabama State University's Small Business Development Center is inviting all active duty, reserve, National Guard, military service members and their spouses to attend its 'Boots to Business,' two-day entrepreneurial education and training program. It is taking place on Feb. 5-6 (from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) at Maxwell Air Force Base's Airman and Family Readiness Center, Building 677, on 55 S. Mitchell St. 'Boots to Business' is a program offered by ASU in cooperation with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) as part of the Department of Defense’s Transition Assistant Program, as well as the Maxwell Air Force Base's Transition Assistance Program. The 'Boots to Business' curriculum provides valuable assistance to service members and their spouses exploring business ownership by leading them through the key steps for evaluating business concepts and providing foundational knowledge, which is required to develop a business plan.
