Battle of the Bands Jamboree as State-wide High School and College Bands Compete at Alabama State University

Posted By: Reginald Culpepper on April 03, 2018 ASU's Mighty Marching Hornets are raising funds for their trip to participate in the 2019 Tournament of Roses Parade. Complete listing of bands is below and includes students from Anniston, Montgomery, Selma, Talladega and more! WHEN: Saturday (April 7) from 1 - 5 p.m. WHERE: The ASU Dunn-Oliver Acadome The Alabama State University Mighty Marching Hornets will host the Battle of the Bands Jamboree this Saturday (April 7), at the ASU Dunn-Oliver Acadome. The event will begin at 1 p.m. and doors open at 11 a.m. The event will feature marching bands from both area and statewide high schools, as well as performances by the Talladega College Marching Tornadoes and the ASU Mighty Marching Hornets. “Each band will gain performance experience and also have the opportunity to showcase their talents,” said Dr. James Oliver, ASU band director. “Developing relationships with the high school directors and students is the overall goal of the Jamboree." A special performance by Hitmaker D-Aye will be held at halftime. The ASU Battle of the Bands Jamboree participants include: High School Bands Anniston High School B.C. Rain High School Booker T. Washington High School Calhoun High School Carver High School Jeff Davis High School Lafayette High School Sidney Lanier High School Robert E. Lee High School Park Crossing High School R. A. Hubbard High School Selma High School College Bands ASU Marching Hornets Talladega College ````````````````````````````````````````` Tickets are $12 in advance and are available at the ASU Ticket Office.
