Posted By: Mister O The Hip Hop Teacher on May 12, 2018 Why did he say "She looks pretty good for a black girl?" Here is Kamal Imani's response! Spoken Word Poetry (Dub Poetry) and Roots Reggae) I was in one of those conversations about which chick do you think look good and blah blah blah When I asked this guy of another persuasion, what he thought about Sharonda? And he said, I guess she look pretty good for a Black Girl And I said, for a black girl? And I guess, he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time and I was in the right state of mind When I said “Man you talking bout my Mother? And you even talking bout yo mother Cause the Black Woman is the mother of civilization. And you learned that Black was wack back on the plantation, and when you see people who look like me, that might just be light skinned It just might be that the white slavemaster was dippin in…Shoronda. Just ask Thomas Jefferson and them But see, a lot of your bredren have cognitive dissonance, amnesia Living in luxury on the land of the Native Americans, built by the Africans, but scapegoating Them, the Moors and the Mexicans, talking bout, making America great again I love my woman’s dark skin, It has the bio-chemical psycho spiritual semi conductor Called melanin, that allows her to catch the holy ghost, go into trance and astral travel To Sirius B in the Orion constellation and beyond. Look at the goddesses on the pyramids and you’ll see. That Black girl. Sharonda’s original beauty and black don’t crack she carried Her royalty down through the centuries And you blind if you can’t see, so just leave her for me bra Cause you can’t even handle her! She look good for a what? Somebody save me I love the Daughter of Auset and Ausar. Yeah, you just keep your paws off of her Cause she’s my Queen, nah mean?
